Decorating Strip Problems

Modified on Fri, 23 Jun, 2023 at 4:32 PM

Manufacturers and customers are reporting defective decorating strips. If you are having issues, please open a support ticket and we will replace the defective product. Manufacturers often do frequent quality control tests on their products, but every product cannot be personally inspected.

See if any of the products can be salvaged because the issue may not be with the entire roll, but only a certain part of the roll. The product can be cut and attached back together by inserting a balloon in the two holes so you can remove the damaged section.

Please inspect the roll before using it.

A list of issues you may experience:

  1. The holes are not perforated enough. During the manufacturing process, the holes must be punched by the machine. It is okay that a small portion of the hole is not punched. This helps avoid all the punched holes from ending up all over the floor.
  2. The holes are punched too close to the edge. When inserting the balloon the strip could rip when punched too close to the edge.
  3. The manufacturer prints their info on the decorating strip. If the print is coming off and leaving a grimy residue on the fingers after touching the tape.
  4. The strip is too narrow or the material is too thin causing it to rip easily.
