            What type of ribbon should I use on a balloon?

            A non-metallic, non-conductive ribbon, such as a curling ribbon, is recommended.  Do not use metallic ribbon because it could cause the balloon to pop. Another danger with using a metallic ribbon is if a balloon escapes and the ribbon touches an electrical pole or power line, it will cause a power outage.
