How to Apply Hi-Float

ULTRA HI-FLOAT 16-oz.

  • Remove the cap and attach the pump. Turn it counterclockwise so the nozzle unlocks.
  • When using the pump for the first time– put a cup under the nozzle and keep pumping until the Hi-Float liquid comes out.
  • Slide the balloon onto the nozzle until the opening of the balloon reaches the base.
  • Use a full pump of Hi-Float for an 11-inch balloon. See the chart below for how much Hi-Float is needed for other-sized balloons.
  • Pinch the neck of the balloon while removing it and clean off the pump nozzle. Make sure Hi-Float does not get onto the neck of the balloon.
  • Elevate the opening while massaging the liquid into the balloon for a few seconds to spread the Hi-Float evenly. This will allow air to escape and prevent liquid from entering the neck of the balloon.
  • Inflate the balloon to a pear-shaped size and hand tie it. Balloons that are underinflated will not float upright, while fully inflated balloons will float straight up.

ULTRA Hi-Float takes a few hours to dry after inflation. It should be kept away from surfaces after inflation for the first few hours, as it is a sticky substance that may cause some damage. For the best safety practices, protective eyewear (glasses, goggles, etc.) is recommended when inflating balloons treated with Hi-Float.
